FLT Driver – Free Spirits

We are looking for a Counterbalance Forklift (FLT) Driver to work Monday to Friday at our Manchester Airport warehouse. Own transport is essential. This role can transition from temporary to permanent with set shifts.

PM: 4pm‑1am (Mon‑Fri) with one hour unpaid break.

£13.00 per hour, overtime over 40 hours per week paid at £18.00 per hour.

• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Building and breaking down aircraft pallets (manual handling).
• Driving the FLT approximately 30% of the shift.
• Maintaining a performance‑driven operation with tight deadlines.
• Standing for long periods and handling manual labour.

• Valid and up‑to‑date Counterbalance FLT license.
• Warehouse operative experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a targeted environment, stand for long periods, and be physically fit to lift heavy items.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Own transport due to limited night public transport.
• Basic DBS check and verifiable 5‑year employment/education history (free of charge through Meridian Business Support).
