Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full sea freight import process, from origin to final delivery
Liaise with global offices and agents to ensure smooth coordination of shipments
Negotiate rates with suppliers to deliver best-value solutions for clients
Select appropriate contracts and carriers to suit individual customer needs
Provide competitive quotations and monitor market trends
Maintain clear and regular communication with clients throughout the shipment lifecycle
Ensure accurate documentation to support customs clearance
Coordinate delivery schedules with hauliers and suppliers
Troubleshoot and resolve delays or shipment issues as they arise
Manage invoicing and cost control to ensure accurate margin tracking
Join client visits alongside the sales team to build long-term relationships

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in ocean imports within freight forwarding
Strong knowledge of end-to-end import processes, including customs procedures
Confident in negotiating rates and selecting suitable carriers
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once
A proactive problem-solver who can remain calm under pressure
Comfortable working with freight management systems and Microsoft Office Why Join Us?
