Hours:

8:00-4:30 / 9:00-5:30 (or similar full-time hours) We are currently working with a well-established freight forwarding business in central Manchester who are looking to recruit an experienced Import Operator to join their growing operations team. This is a pure sea freight import role , with a strong focus on LCL / consolidation shipments , offering stability, clear processes, and a supportive working environment.

The Role:

End-to-end management of sea freight import shipments Handling LCL / consolidation cargo from origin through to final delivery Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers Preparing and checking import documentation Using Cargo Wise to manage files and operational data Ensuring compliance with customs and company procedures

The Ideal Candidate :
Proven experience in sea freight import operations Strong understanding of LCL / consolidation processes Cargo Wise experience preferred Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple files Confident communicator with customers and suppliers This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced import professional looking for a stable, office-based role with a reputable business in a central Manchester location.
