Litigation Solicitor

Position: Litigation Solicitor (Permanent)
Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently looking to recruit a Litigation Solicitor in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE to manage a genuinely varied litigation caseload while continuing to develop professionally within a forward-thinking practice.

The role offers exposure to a broad mix of civil disputes and the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues in a department that is continuing to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of general civil litigation matters from initial instruction to conclusion

• Advising clients and delivering clear, practical, commercially focused legal guidance

• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and correspondence

• Handling negotiations and representing clients at hearings where appropriate

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Supporting the firm’s wider business development initiatives

Caseload Includes (but not limited to):

• Contract and commercial disputes

• Property litigation and landlord/tenant matters

• Debt recovery and enforcement work

• Employment disputes

• Professional negligence claims

• Boundary and neighbour disputes

• Contentious probate

• A range of general civil litigation matters

Candidate Requirements

• A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in general litigation

• Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules

• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills

• Confident managing a varied and busy workload independently

• Proactive mindset with a willingness to contribute to team and departmental growth
