Toolmaker​/Conventional Machinist

Position: Toolmaker / Conventional Machinist (Permanent)
Mazco Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering business in Mansfield who are looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker / Conventional Machinist on a day shift basis.

This is a hands-on toolroom role, ideal for someone who enjoys manual machining, precision work, and problem-solving, rather than production button-pushing.

The Role

* Manufacture, modify, and repair jigs, fixtures, and tooling

* Manual turning, milling, drilling, and fitting

* Work from engineering drawings and tight tolerances

* Support production with tooling breakdowns and improvements

* General toolroom and workshop support

The Ideal Candidate

* Time-served Toolmaker / Fitter & Turner or equivalent experience

* Strong background in manual lathes and milling machines

* Able to work confidently from technical drawings

* High attention to detail and quality

* Reliable, practical, and workshop-focused

CNC experience is beneficial but not essential.

* Up to £20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

* Day shift – Monday to Friday
