Job Title

Additional full time Social Workers within the Preparing for Adulthood Team (PFA).

Job Details

Salary: £34,434 - £44,075 per annum

Type of vacancy: Permanent

Work pattern: Full Time

Hours per week: 37

Work Base: Meadow House, Mansfield, NG18 2TB

Working Arrangements: Hybrid

Responsibilities

You will work in a strength-based way and aim to make a real difference to the lives of young people experiencing learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health and ASD. You will:

  • Provide assessment and commissioning support for young people as they enter adulthood.
  • Work with a multi‑specialist team and in accordance with legislation such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.
  • Support young people in achieving their aspirations and outcomes at a pivotal time in their life.
  • Collaborate with Children’s Social Care, education and health to support transitions to adult services.
  • Maintain safeguarding protocols and work within multi‑agency procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Social Work Qualification and registration by Social Work England.
  • Good communication, time management and IT skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults.
  • Full driving licence and access to transport (or suitable arrangements for disabled employees).
  • Experience in an adult social work or therapeutic service is desirable.
