Previous experience in mold maintenance and repair is required to be considered for this position.
A strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability will be considered valuable assets.

Responsibilities
Build, assemble, and commission new injection molds to design specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and in-service repairs on molds and associated tooling.
Diagnose and correct molding-related part defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, or burn lines.
Rework and modify molds (EDM, CNC operations, bench work, fitting, polishing) to improve part quality and cycle time.
Set up and validate mold trials on presses; collaborate with machine operators to optimize process parameters.
Maintain accurate tooling documentation, including mold history, maintenance logs, repair records, and spare-parts lists.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce changeover time, minimize scrap, and enhance tooling reliability.
Mentor and train junior mold makers and apprentices while promoting a strong culture of safety.
Manage tooling and spare-parts inventory; recommend upgrades or capital replacements when needed.
Coordinate with external tool vendors and machine shops for complex repairs or new build projects.
Support Engineering and Purchasing during design reviews to ensure manufacturability and moldability.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality procedures (ISO/TS or equivalent).
Serve as the primary point of contact for mold-related production issues during assigned shifts.
Provide regular updates to the Tooling Manager on mold health, repair status, and planned maintenance.
Lead at least one tooling-reliability or process-improvement initiative per quarter and present outcomes at monthly production reviews.
