Linux Admin Data center Lab

We are seeking an experienced Linux Admin to support onsite data center operations for our Technology, Software, and Services client in Markham, Ontario.

Must-Haves:

• 5–8 years of Linux Administration experience

• Hands‑on experience working in data center labs

• Ability to lift ~50 lbs and stand for long hours

Job Description : The Linux Admin will be responsible for racking, cabling, building, configuring, and provisioning servers and related hardware. This role includes deploying Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment, performing hardware troubleshooting, conducting quality assurance checks, and resolving issues through ticketing systems. The position requires strong understanding of OS installations (Windows Server, Linux, Unix), hardware diagnostics, RAID levels, and basic cabling concepts such as port mapping and cable types.

Candidates with experience in rack‑and‑stack activities, server configuration, web server/database installation, and network equipment deployment will be preferred. The role involves physical activity, including lifting and working on ladders, and occasional travel as needed.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
