The Purchasing Associate plays a critical role within the organization’s supply‑chain and operations team, supporting the procurement of complex electronic components, harnessing materials, precision assemblies, and outsourced manufacturing services. This position ensures continuity of supply for high‑reliability products used in aerospace, defense, rail, and industrial test applications.

• Perform daily reviews of MRP requirements and collaborate with suppliers to establish optimal quantities, delivery schedules, and shipping methods;
• Manage supplier performance issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and service gaps;
• Identify solutions to supply‑chain challenges such as budget constraints, lead‑time changes, vendor errors, or material shortages;
• Review and track all outstanding purchase orders; follow up on discrepancies and ensure accurate fulfillment;
• Coordinate material transfers from third‑party warehouses to Company's main facility in a timely and cost‑effective manner;
• Review monthly demand forecasts and initiate blanket orders for long‑lead components (PCBs, relays, connectors, harness components, etc.);
• Obtain and analyze monthly inventory reports from key suppliers to maintain accurate visibility of stock levels and WIP;
• Seek continuous‑improvement opportunities and cost‑reduction initiatives within the procurement cycle;
• Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Business Development teams to understand material requirements and support new‑product introduction (NPI);
• Contribute to departmental and organizational objectives as a collaborative member of the operations team.

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other high‑reliability industrial environments;
• Experience with ERP systems;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis);
• Good negotiation, supplier‑management, and communication skills;
• Analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven environment;
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
