As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work closely with Plastic Surgeons, evidence-based Technologists, the Fracture Clinic, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Wound Care Nurses in providing patient care within the Plastic Clinic. As a member of this team, you will also work collaboratively with General Surgeons, and Ophthalmologists to provide patient care within the Minor Surgery Clinic. Created with Sketch.Performance

Certificate in Practical nursing required. Post-graduate certificates in aseptic procedures (Perioperative Certificate), physical assessment and medications is required. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS certification. Minimum 2 years' recent experience working in an operating room setting as a scrub nurse. Minimum of 2 years' recent experience, within the past year, in an ambulatory care setting including Plastics, Fracture and minor procedures.Intelligence Created with Sketch.
Knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, completion of an operating room course. Demonstrated knowledge of patient education. Demonstrated knowledge of suture removal, dressing changes and assisting with minor procedures is required. Proficient computer skills. Created with Sketch.Initiative
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards. Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required. Skills
RPNAO membership is preferred. Demonstrated excellent physical assessment skills. Ability to critically think, problem solve and function in a fast-paced clinic environment. Ability to act as a resource and role model. Ability to assist with start-up of a new clinic. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently.
