The successful candidate will have an extensive background in geophysics, with a specialization in electromagnetics. They will understand the theoretic and practical aspects of airborne geophysical survey technologies, in particular time-domain electromagnetics (TDEM), and also potential field and radiometric data acquisition, processing, and interpretation. They will understand and verify the quality of airborne geophysical datasets. Successful candidates will communicate well at all levels, convey information fluently, and be comfortable with client interactions.
The job may require some travel including international locations. They may require direct communication with clients (written and oral).
Responsibilities
Processing of airborne geophysical dataPerform 1D, 2D, and 3D inversions using commercial and proprietary softwarePerform Maxwell 2.5D plate modelingPerform geophysical interpretation and mineral exploration targetingPrepare geophysical interpretation reports and case studiesClose collaboration with R&D and Sales & Marketing staffQualifications
Advanced Degree in Geophysics (M.Sc. or Ph.D)Minimum 10 years experience in mineral exploration geophysicsExpertise in Electromagnetic, Magnetic, and Radiometric methodsExtensive Experience with Geosoft Oasis mapping and data processing platformGeophysical data analysis and report writingSuperior English and French verbal and written communication skillsSeniority level
