As our Director of Marketing transitions to oversee operations in the US, we are looking for a talented and passionate Marketing Director (Mandarin-speaking) to step in and drive marketing excellence in Canada.

At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Marketing Director to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

Why Mandarin Proficiency Is Essential

This role requires a Mandarin-speaking candidate who can effectively communicate with our product team and vendors in China. Proficiency in Mandarin is critical to ensure seamless collaboration, foster strong relationships, and drive the successful execution of strategies.

  • P&L ownership experience:
    You’ve managed and grown a business with direct profit and loss accountability.
  • Team management:
    You have successfully managed teams of 20 or more people and can demonstrate strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Scaling experience:
    You’ve played a key role in growing and scaling companies, driving significant business results.
  • Comprehensive marketing expertise:
    You have hands-on experience with all functions of marketing, including strategy, digital, traditional, and brand marketing.
  • Budget management:
    You have managed large-scale marketing budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximizing ROI.

Responsibilities Include

Business Strategy & P&L Ownership:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business strategy that supports the company's growth objectives, brand positioning, and product innovation.
Brand Development & Management

  • Define and enhance the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Manage brand architecture, messaging, and creative assets that resonate with target audiences and distinguish the company in the marketplace.
Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, retail, events, and traditional media.
Digital & Social Media Marketing

  • Guide and manage digital marketing strategies, including website content, email marketing, SEO, PPC, and social media initiatives to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Market Research & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct and leverage market research and consumer insights to identify trends, behaviors, and opportunities that inform marketing strategies.
Partnership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with sales, product development, supply chain, finance, and external agencies to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Develop partnerships with key influencers, retailers, and distributors to amplify the brand’s reach.
