Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years critical care experience and ACLS/PALS certification.

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications required
• AHA EKG/rhythms course required
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care nursing experience required
• Strong critical thinking and fast-paced teamwork skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Acute care hospital ICU setting on the 2nd floor, 8-bed unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population with 2:1 patient ratios
• Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, Afib RVR, CHF, and chronic renal failure
• Uses Meditech Magic EHR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun rotation)
• No call requirements
• Floating required to Med Surg and Behavioral Health units
• Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients with complex diagnoses
• Must bring high energy and willingness to take direction in a fast-paced environment
• Dress code requires solid-colored scrubs; crocs, Hey Dudes, logo t-shirts, and cartoon-print scrubs are not permitted
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
