We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This post is for a fixed term Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for Tier 3 CAMHS teams across GGC for 23 months. Newly qualifying or soon to qualify Psychologists are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Involved in the delivery and governance of psychological therapies in the service.
  • Work with other senior clinicians and the Service Manager to manage waiting times and deliver a high quality clinical service in line with Scottish Government Local Delivery Plan waiting times.
  • Lead a targeted project to reduce the longest waits in CAMHS, focusing on assessment and short interventions to support young people to get timely treatment and then be discharged.
  • Provide leadership within a small clinical team.
  • Lead neurodevelopmental assessments as part of the specific waiting list work.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of service delivery and management in a clinical or counselling psychology setting.
  • Experience of working with complex cases, particularly in a Tier 3 CAMHS service.
  • Newly qualifying or soon to qualify Psychologists are encouraged to apply.
