Quality Control Specialist

• Inspect and test raw materials and finished products according to procedures established.
• Maintaining and calibrating of lab instruments.
• Cleaning and organizing lab glassware.
• Recordand maintain records of quality testing of raw materials and finished product.
• Maintainsample retains.
• Participates in efforts to control costs.
• Follows safety procedures and company policies.
• Assistingor conducting internal audits as necessary.
• Assisting with/writing of standard operating procedures (SOP) and forms related toQC, QA and Manufacturing Operations (Preserve Turlock facility).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Actas Safety Committee chair and conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Assistthe Production Manager/Plant Manager as needed during regulatory inspections, following corporate guidelines.
• Completedocuments/reports for local, state and federal agencies as related to Preserve Inc., Turlock facility. Submit documents/reports afterapproval by the Plant Manager. Includes discharge testing before release into sewer system, CA storm water reports, Federal EPA reports,hazardous material plans, DEA reports and cycle count for DEA.
• Printlabels and provide to production team as necessary. Ensure totalcontrol of labels including purchasing labels from outside source.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager/Plant Manager
