Role Summary

The Messenger III performs skilled field operations work involving secure transport, custody, documentation, and ATM service activity, handling a broader range of assignments and atypical issues within established practices. Provides informal guidance to others and helps sustain security, accuracy, and customer service quality on route. Typical work includes secure deliveries and collections, ATM replenishment and first-line maintenance support, route issue handling, and transaction reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport, handle, and maintain custody of cash, coin, deposits, and other valuables during customer pickups and deliveries.
• Follow security and safety protocols at all times to protect team members, customers, vehicles, and liability during route activity and customer-site visits.
• Perform required ATM replenishment, collection, and basic first-line maintenance or service checks where assigned.
• Accurately reconcile deposits, receipts, manifests, and transaction-related documentation and report discrepancies promptly.
• Provide reliable, courteous customer service and represent Brink’s professionally during route interactions and handoffs.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of experience in secure transportation, cash handling, ATM service support, or related field operations.
• Experience handling route exceptions, transaction discrepancies, or complex stop activity with limited supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet local licensing, certification, firearm, or clearance requirements where applicable.

Education

Secondary school completion or equivalent preferred; additional training or certification in security, law enforcement, transportation, or ATM servicing is a plus.
