Location: Abercanaid

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Band 2 Health Care Support Worker with an interest in patient care services to join our friendly, busy team. The successful applicant will be based at the antenatal clinic, Prince Charles Hospital and Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospital, and may be expected to work at other sites within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as required.

The role is on a permanent contract basis.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake delegated duties following a period of training and core competency completion, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
  • Provide patient care within the Maternity Antenatal Clinic at Prince Charles Hospital and Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospital; may be required to travel to other sites.
  • Work under the direction and supervision of qualified staff; this post carries no managerial responsibility.
  • All posts are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and, where required, Professional Registration verification.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Band 2 Health Care Support Worker (or equivalent).
  • Welsh speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above desirable.
  • Applicants who are not UK or Republic of Ireland nationals must be eligible for sponsorship and may require a Health and Care Visa or Skilled Worker Visa.
  • Permanent contract basis.
