Dental Pay Manager (Payroll)

Riverdale Healthcare – Stokesley, North Yorkshire (Remote / in‑office hybrid)

Base pay range: £30,000 – £37,500 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

As Dental Pay Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of pay for our self‑employed clinicians. You will report directly to the Finance Director, refine processes, support onboarding, and collaborate with Finance, HR and Clinical Operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing end‑to‑end payroll for self‑employed dentists (NHS & private)
  • Ensuring timely submission of hours, bonuses and deductions
  • Administering the NHS pension scheme and ensuring legislative compliance
  • Handling pay queries and supporting clinician onboarding
  • Collaborating with the Caragon team to improve automation and reporting
  • Preparing monthly financial and KPI reports for leadership
  • Supporting HR and Clinical teams with data and compliance tasks
  • Assisting with audits and maintaining payroll records in line with GDPR
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll or finance (healthcare experience a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Xero
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Detail‑focused and organised with a proactive mindset
  • Experience with Caragon or other HR/payroll systems
