- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), with a deep understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) operation and inspection software.
- Ensure accuracy in first part inspections, assisting CNC Operators in the inspection process to validate product readiness for production.
- Identify and report any operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Document inspection results from CMM, Vision Systems and Comparators accurately.
- Utilize quality software to create and manage detailed inspection reports in alignment with company standards.
- Generate and maintain records of first article inspections and other quality metrics for review by leadership.
- Proficient in operating all gauges used on the Inspection Granite (i.e. Concentricity Guge, Height Gauge, Blocks, Sine Plate, and Dial Indicators).
- Proficient operating CMM, Comparators and Vision Systems to perform precise quality inspections.
- Ability to read blueprints, and CAD drawings, and have a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, while understanding the specifications and tolerances for each item.
- Ability to detect defects in items by visual and dimensional inspections.
- Work and communicate with other members of the QC team to identify trends in defects and recommend improvements in processes and materials.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by your supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
