Job SummaryReporting to the MEA Regional Protective Services Manager, the Regional Protective Services (RPS) Manager is a full‑time role responsible for incident and crisis management, emergency preparedness, physical security strategy and standards compliance, facility threat, vulnerability and risk assessments, workplace violence prevention, travel security, geo‑political threat monitoring, corporate security training, investigations, behavioral threat assessment, executive protection, event security, security officer vendor selection, deployment and performance reviews in Sub‑Saharan Africa and Mauritius.
Requirements- Minimum 10 years of relevant security experience or equivalent in private, government or security forces.
- A degree from an accredited college or university is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Motivated to work in a meritocratic, collaborative culture with a “roll‑up your sleeves” mentality.
- Uncompromised ethics and integrity; industry‑recognized local and international professional security certifications are a plus.
- Extensive experience managing travel security across Sub‑Saharan Africa.
- Extensive knowledge of physical security systems.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills and a natural leadership style.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Corporate security management experience.
- General understanding of investigative processes, safety/security, legal and corporate terminology.
- Exposure to multicultural environments and language skills.
- Fluency in English is expected.
- Foster security culture and awareness.
- Apply broad security risk management knowledge to enable business operations.
- Contribute to and implement security strategy, plans, procedures and controls.
- Identify, anticipate, assess and resolve complex business challenges through collaboration.
- Conduct systematic threat, vulnerability and risk assessments.
- Build engagement and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, law enforcement, and government agencies.
- Establish near‑term goals and provide input to longer‑term goals.
- Serve as the key contact for crisis and emergency management stakeholders.
- Manage incident notifications and security assessments by vendors.
- Disseminate information to leadership and coordinate employee messaging.
- Support employee assistance and behavioral threat assessment teams.
- Support security awareness training, executive protection and event security management.
- Support the GP&S Intelligence team’s threat assessments.
