Global Product Specialist - Direct Rail

Global Product Specialist - Direct Current Rail (m/f/d)  To support our team within the Business Unit Grid Integration, we are looking for a Global Product Specialist the Direct Current portfolio for Hitachi owned COET business.
How you’ll make an impact:
Support Hitachi Energy’s local operating units throughout the world in sales, tendering and project execution acting as a technical specialist
Develop new- and apply existing DC railway traction power solutions
Responsible for technical solutions portfolio (specifications, approval, roll-out, release)
Develop and maintain customer-specific system reference designs with key targeted (global) customers
Identify, lead and develop new innovative solutions with key customers
Conduct internal technical trainings and deploy base solutions globally i.e. in countries and business hubs
Represent Hitachi Energy – Grid Integration in relevant international technical committees and associations (e.g. EN, IEC, IEEE)
Support internal training and certification processes including training material
Your background:
Technical University Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc.)
Strong technical knowledge and experience of all required equipment for DC traction power solutions as well as medium- and low voltage AC switch gear including related international standards
Experience in executing DC rail projects in a technical role such as lead engineer, lead commissioning engineer or engineering manager
Proven experience in local and/or global roles dealing with railway applications
Cross-discipline technology affinity and curiosity
Performing in- and guiding international and cross-functional teams through new approaches
Thorough understanding of the evolution of urban electrification using direct current railway solutions such as trams and light rail
Strong customer facing, interaction and technical influencing experience with large and global customers.

Experience of battery energy storage products and solutions would be considered an additional merit
