The Company
A leading international multi-disciplinary engineering contractor specializing in high-value projects for global blue-chip clients. Known for a performance-focused culture, they are a primary partner for major developments across Europe in the Data Centre and Power sectors.
The Role
You will take full ownership of the mechanical engineering life cycle, from design management through to final commissioning. This is a leadership-heavy role focused on technical excellence and team development.
Engineering Leadership: Manage design reviews, equipment selection (long-lead items), and BIM coordination.
Project Delivery: Oversee procurement (RFQs), technical submittals, and vendor negotiations.
Quality & Commissioning: Lead FATs/SATs, system walk-downs, and pressure/leakage testing protocols.
Mentorship: Act as the technical lead and coach for a multi-functional team of junior and graduate engineers.
Commercial Oversight: Identify value engineering opportunities and manage technical risks to protect project margins.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
10+ years in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering, including 3+ years in a Lead/Managerial role .
Sector Expertise: Proven track record in Data Centres or Pharmaceutical projects is highly preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong background in hydraulic/ESP calculations, stress analysis, and P&-lining.
Education:
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
Location:
Based in or willing to relocate to the Milan region.
