ABOUT THE ROLE:
JOB TITLE:
Senior SEO Manager
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full Time
WeRoad is entering a new phase of ambitious international growth, and we’re looking for an exceptional Senior SEO Manager to lead the expansion. You’ll design and scale a high‑impact strategy across five languages and multiple European markets, with a strong focus on complex purchase journeys and long decision cycles.
You will design and execute the SEO/GEO strategy, work on measurement frameworks, and ensure that our SEO activity is primed for continuous testing, learning, and scaling. This is a role for a strategic and technical leader who balances hands‑on execution with big‑picture growth impact.
What you’ll own You will own the global organic strategy end‑to‑end for WeRoad across 5 websites in 5 languages and companion blogs. Your mandate spans strategy, technical excellence, content architecture, and GEO/LLM visibility (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini). This is a role for a strategist who also executes, someone comfortable in the tools, accountable for outcomes, and ready to lead cross‑functional work from idea to impact.
GEO/LLM Visibility:
Make WeRoad show up (and be recommended) across AI Overviews and LLMs; design our LLM‑seeding playbook (formats, platforms, sources)
International SEO:
Strategy for 5 languages/markets (IT, ES, FR, DE, EN): IA, clusters, hreflang parity, local market SEO peculiarities and competition
Technical SEO: site architecture, structured data (Itinerary, FAQ, Video Object), sitemaps, crawl/render
Content & Distribution:
Pillar/cluster roadmap (web + blogs), briefs, internal linking, and strategic distribution on third‑party/UGC hubs (e.g. Reddit, authoritative articles, You Tube) to seed LLMs
Measurement:
Define GEO/LLM KPIs (AI mentions, source quality, sentiment) alongside classic GSC/analytics metrics
What you’ll do Build and execute a market‑by‑market SEO plan (site + blogs) aligned to seasonality, intent, and commercial goals
Lead GEO/AEO experiments: structured summaries, comparison tables, answer‑ready snippets, entity‑rich pages; validate with prompt‑set testing
Operationalize LLM seeding: repurpose content to LLM‑friendly formats and trusted 3rd‑party sources; drive Reddit/Quora participation guidelines
Own technical backlog with Engineering (such as schema, rendering, CWVs, redirects, migrations from subdomains)
Partner with Content Ops team and Website Content team to ensure copy + media (images/video from DAM) are AI‑parsable: captions, alt‑text, filenames, Video Object markup.
Coach stakeholders on GEO/LLM and report progress to leadership with clear business impact.
What good looks like (first 6–12 months) Content wins: increased pillar/cluster velocity, higher organic traffic on travel pages and growth in organic itinerary conversions
AI Overviews: consistent inclusion for priority non‑brand queries across 5 markets/languages
LLM mentions : monthly uplift in high‑quality mentions across AI Overview/ChatGPT/Perplexity, with source diversity and positive positioning
Tech wins: schema coverage on itineraries/FAQs/video; hreflang parity
Cross‑Functional Collaboration Tech SEO Dev & Web Engineering: architecture, performance, deployment
Content & Localization: briefs, tone, parity across IT/ES/FR/DE/EN
What you bring 5+ years in SEO with strong technical + strategic chops; proven delivery in international/internazionalization contexts.
