Full stack Engineer

Medicilio is an innovative startup on a mission to reimagine how healthcare works. Our vision is to become the first decentralised hospital. Many patients currently face the problem of not being able to access healthcare due to a disability, old age or just because they can’t find time and space. We aim to provide patients with the best quality diagnostics and medical care directly at their home.
We are at the beginning of an adventure that is as promising as it is complex. We just raised our series A round and are expanding our presence in Italy.

About the role
Medicilio seeks a motivated Senior Full-Stack Developer to deliver innovative solutions that revolutionise the medical industry as part of a team of mission-driven technologists. The team is spread across three continents and works remotely to develop solutions for Italy, with plans to expand throughout Europe and the world. You will work collaboratively with business and operations to meet stakeholder needs, with flexibility to work remotely or in one of our offices in Milan, Sicily, or Berlin.

You will also have the opportunity to work on projects from scratch and have a high impact and influence on the results.
Responsibilities
Research and analyse potential solutions to current problems
Contribute to and lead technical planning meetings for new features
Design and develop innovative features for our product for frontend and backend
Propose and implement enhancements to our codebase and workflow
Collaborate with fellow developers to share knowledge and assist team members
Work alongside other developers and product managers to achieve project goals
Serve as the go-to person for understanding the broader picture between frontend and backend aspects of the project.
Ensure codebase maintenance and participate in peer reviews.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in an engineering role
Proficiency in the REST API protocol
Familiarity with Postgre

SQL and its extensions (e.g. postgis) or similar database technologies
Experience working on or with agile technology delivery teams
Strong systems engineering skills in at least one of the following areas: architecture and requirements definition, product configuration, technology planning, or product fit assessment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, project coordination abilities, and a dedication to teamwork
Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly
Nice to Haves
Knowledge of the Django Web Framework
Experience working with at least one major cloud provider (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure, IBM)

Experience with Google's OR tools library

Experience with CI/CD and/or Dev Ops
Experience in DICOM or HL7 based systems
