Senior Software Developer

Overview  ARESYS is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our core development team in Milan, Rome and Matera. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on RADAR application development projects for Space clients. Your focus will be on designing and implementing efficient Earth Observation data processing solutions using cutting-edge development strategies and High-Performance Computing (HPC) techniques.

You will collaborate with top-tier Software Engineers, Computer Scientists and Radar Specialists, contributing to projects at the forefront of innovation in RADAR and Earth Observation technologies.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities   Design and code high-performance scientific libraries and applications for RADAR data processing;
Review, validate and optimize developed code;
Support technological evolution of processing libraries and tools;
Develop and integrate innovative algorithms and processing techniques together with R&D team.
Required Skills   Strong experience with Object-Oriented Programming (C++, Python, etc.)
Solid understanding of signal processing software development.
Familiarity with parallel programming techniques and HPC tools.
Proficiency with scientific prototyping environments (Python, MATLAB, etc.).
Nice To Have   Experience in cross-platform development (Windows/Linux) and Continuous Integration (CI) tools.
Knowledge of Earth Observation applications and SAR/RADAR systems.
Understanding of the ECSS standards (European Cooperation for Space Standardization).
Your Background   Degree:
PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
Experience 5+ years in a similar role.
