Backend Developer (Golang)
Location:
Preferably in / near Vienna, or within a 2h time zone difference
Languages:
English, German is a plus
Experience:
Over 2-4 years of backend experience using Golang and other OOP languages; you will contribute to our SaaS platform, managing the full software lifecycle
Salary: €40,000 - €60,000 gross/year
Contract:
Full time (No freelancing)
The Role
You will be building the engines that power fiscalization for major retailers and fintechs. You will face interesting challenges:
How do we sign a receipt in milliseconds? How do we ensure data consistency across distributed systems when the network fails? You will write the code that answers these questions. You will own your services from the first line of Go code to the deployment in Kubernetes.
What You’ll Do
Build for Scale:
Design, develop, and deploy high-performance microservices using Golang. Write code that needs to be efficient, strictly typed, and concurrency-safe.
Own Your Code:
Practice "You build it, you run it." Manage your own deployments via Git Ops pipelines and monitor performance in production.
Solve Hard Problems:
Turn complex legal requirements into clean, elegant software involving cryptography, state management, and regulatory logic.
Modernize with AI:
Use AI coding assistants to speed up boilerplate tasks, allowing you to focus on complex logic.
Collaborate:
Work directly with SREs and Senior Engineers to understand how your code behaves in a distributed environment, learning best practices for fault tolerance and reliability.
What You Bring
Go Proficiency: 2–4 years of backend experience, solid grasp of Golang, go routines, interfaces, idiomatic Go.
Engineering Mindset:
Care about code quality, understand interfaces, dependency injection, testable code.
Cloud Native:
Comfortable with Docker, exposure to Kubernetes, code lives in a container.
API
Experience:
Built RESTful or gRPC APIs that are clean, documented, and easy for other developers to consume.
Curiosity:
Ask "How can we make this faster?" eager to use AI tools to sharpen skills and workflow.
