Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants based in Milton Keynes, in their search for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Accountant looking to take greater ownership of their client portfolio while playing a key role in supporting and developing junior team members. You'll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking practice where technical excellence, training, and professional growth are central to their culture.

• Preparing accounts for a variety of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Completing personal tax returns accurately and on time
• Overseeing workflow, managing deadlines, and planning work efficiently
• Conducting client review meetings and providing sound, practical advice
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping them to develop their technical skills and confidence

• ACA / ACCA qualified is desirable or nearly qualified, or qualified by experience
• Proven background in an accountancy practice with strong experience in client relationship management
• Demonstrable experience in a Senior Accountant or Client Manager role
• Experience using CCH and Xero is desirable
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A proactive, professional approach with the confidence to manage multiple priorities and mentor others effectively
