We are a well-established, family-run construction company based in Milton Keynes, specialising in building and high-quality joinery projects. The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility across multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account. You will play a key role in supporting project delivery while working closely with directors, site teams, and clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS who enjoys autonomy and wants to be part of a close-knit, growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of projects from tender to final account
* Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
* Procurement of subcontractors and materials
* Valuations, variations, and change control
* Managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts
* Supporting pre-construction and tendering where required
* Working collaboratively with site managers and directors
* Ensuring commercial best practice and risk management
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or experienced QS ready to step up)
* Background in building / main contracting (joinery experience advantageous)
* Experience delivering residential and/or education projects
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
* Confident communicator with a practical, hands-on approach
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
