Job Purpose The opportunity comes as part of our growth plans, to develop more resource and support for the sales team and create efficiencies. The role supports the design, development and installation of innovative playground schemes by producing high-quality CAD drawings and eye‑catching 3D generated presentations. The Designer will play a key role in producing and pricing creative concepts that meet safety standards and client expectations.
- Interpret client briefs, site surveys, and drawings to deliver creative, functional, and cost‑effective 2D design solutions and quotations
- Produce 3D visuals and illustrations/plans for submissions to clients
- Liaise with design colleagues, sales team and contracts teams to ensure feasibility and compliance
- Third party quotation management
- Co‑ordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Project management to ensure best practices are implemented
- Develop, implement and monitor policies and guidelines for design processes
- Reporting to management
- You have a design related degree, e.g. product design, graphic design, interior design
- You are proficient in AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max and have experience in using Photoshop and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Use of Revit (desirable)
- Experience in landscape, architectural, or product design – preferably in playground or outdoor leisure sectors
- Knowledge of UK playground safety standards is advantageous
- You have a creative eye
- You are a team player with an ambition to learn and develop new skills
- You are sociable, helpful, with a can‑do attitude and a positive outlook
- Strong communication, teamwork and collaborative abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset, always looking to improve efficiencies and positively influence KOMPAN through a collaborative approach
- Passion for play, outdoor environments, and inclusive design
