An exciting Platform Engineer opportunity has arisen for the world's most renowned banks at the forefront of innovation. You'll play a pivotal role in managing risks associated with obsolete hardware and software components.

As a Platform Engineer, you will drive the analysis and development of strategies to upgrade technologies, reducing obsolescence and enhancing operational efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include executing assessments, developing remediation solutions, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing technical leadership. Your contributions will ensure optimal strategies aligned with architectural direction, minimising risks and maximising performance.

• Execute assessments and develop remediation solutions for obsolescence and performance improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and provide technical leadership to ensure alignment with architectural direction.
• Analyse current platforms and drive strategies to upgrade technologies, reducing risk and increasing operational efficiency.

• Expert knowledge of Operating Systems, Servers and Storage
• Skillfulness in scripting and automation tools like Python
  , Power Shell
  , and Ansible
  .
• Proficiency in Database Technology Products OR Web Application Server Products (Oracle, MS SQL)
  OR (BM Web Sphere Application Server, Oracle Web Logic)

• Docker and Kubernetes
• AWS Certification
• Understanding of Dev-Ops Tools

My client can offer a flexible hybrid working pattern with 1/2 days a week on-site in their brand-new state-of-the-art offices in Milton Keynes. My client can also offer a competitive salary of £95,000 - £110,000
