Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – Milton Keynes (Hybrid) – SC or DV Cleared

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global brand for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance core infrastructure services across a complex enterprise environment. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, resilience, and security of systems while contributing to strategic infrastructure upgrades and improvement initiatives. SC or DV Clearance is required.

• Support and maintain critical infrastructure systems, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance
• Manage hardware, software, networks, and server environments across hybrid on-prem and cloud estates
• Implement upgrades, patches, and configuration changes following best‑practice standards
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, providing 3rd‑line diagnosis and resolution
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and project teams to deliver infrastructure improvements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records
• Proactively monitor systems and identify opportunities for performance and security enhancements
• Strong knowledge of server technologies, storage, AD, networking, and virtualisation platforms
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Azure or AWS) and hybrid infrastructure models
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure
• Familiarity with automation and scripting tools advantageous (Power Shell, Python, etc.)
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, incident, change, and problem management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Requires DV Clearance (or SC with eligibility for DV)

• Hybrid role based in Milton Keynes
• 24-month initial fixed-term contract (opportunity for extension)
• Excellent package including a 33% pension contribution
