Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Corby Job Type: Full-time, permanent role Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Days (6AM6PM) & Nights (6PM6AM) About the Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our state-of-the-art automated cold storage facility . You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance at heights of up to 120ft and in temperatures as low as
-23C . This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer experienced in FMCG, automation, or warehouse engineering to join a cutting-edge operation.

Key Responsibilities Maintain and operate critical automated systems including conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems. Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Work to operational KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintenance plans to ensure full compliance. Liaise with suppliers, manage warranty work, and coordinate service visits. Support warehouse operations to maintain efficient logistics and equipment performance.

Manage engineering stock, spare parts, and inventory control. Produce clear and timely engineering reports for the Engineering Manager. Identify and implement energy-saving, cost-efficient improvements across the facility. Qualifications & Experience Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Apprentice-trained engineering background

Experience with in an FMCG automated warehouse , distribution centre , or industrial engineering environment Desirable:
Cold store , freezer warehouse , or ammonia refrigeration plant experience Experience working at heights Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in automated systems Key Attributes A proactive, can-do attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills Flexibility to meet operational engineering requirements
