Robert Walters is partnering with a well‑established and respected organisation based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Finance Manager. This role is office‑based five days per week and offers a salary of £50,000–£65,000, depending on experience. It presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of core financial activities and support business performance within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The RoleAs Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of the organisation’s financial operations. Working closely with senior stakeholders and wider business teams, you will deliver accurate financial reporting, provide meaningful analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK accounting standards and internal policies.
- Providing financial insight and guidance to non‑finance stakeholders to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Monitoring cash flow and working capital, ensuring appropriate financial controls are maintained.
- Supporting the annual budget and forecast processes, including variance analysis and recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and supporting the year‑end audit process.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the finance team.
- Supporting ad hoc projects as required by senior management.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial experience gained in a similar role.
You Will Bring- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role within a medium to large organisation.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insight.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting systems.
- A proactive, well‑organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
