Audit – Financial Services Asset Management Graduate Trainee – Milton Keynes – 1 September 2026
We are excited to offer a three‑year training contract with Mazars UK LLP (formerly Competition Rx Ltd) for a Graduate Trainee in our Audit – Financial Services Asset Management team, based in Milton Keynes. The role starts on 1 September 2026.
About the Audit Asset Management TeamOur team delivers world‑class audit services across the asset management sector, working internationally with FTSE 250 and FTSE 350 clients, green funds, private equity, real estate trusts, venture capital trusts, wealth managers and financial advisory groups.
About the RoleAs a graduate trainee you will experience a structured learning journey over three years, divided into a focused year 1 and progressively complex work in years 2 and 3.
Year 1 Responsibilities- Master the art of auditing: prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
- Develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
- Work side‑by‑side with clients, gaining insight into diverse businesses, their operations and unique circumstances.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across clients and internal teams, gathering information and developing strong professional links.
- Take on increasingly complex audit tasks such as revenue recognition, valuation and risk assessment.
- Take ownership of audit engagements, leading delivery and managing client expectations.
- Mentor junior and new team members, supporting their integration and development.
- Continue to grow in a permanent role, building expertise within Mazars.
- On track or have obtained an undergraduate degree; strong academic performance is valued but we consider the whole applicant.
