Location: Pertemps Medical – Milton Keynes - flexible working

Hours: 4-6 sessions/PAs a week (session/PA = 4 hours), flexible hours as agreed. Half of the agreed sessions will need to be onsite in Milton Keynes.

Travel: There will be an occasional requirement for travel to locations across UK in support of the organisation aims.

Job Description - Principal Duties and Responsibilities Governance & Clinical Quality
  • You will work closely with our directors, senior managers and clinicians to ensure that professional standards and clinical governance are met and maintained at their highest quality.
  • You will ensure compliance and quality across all clinical services, monitoring adherence to national legislation, and internal standards, while supporting incident and complaint resolution.
  • You will lead on key clinical statutory and regulatory responsibilities and will be required to be the CQC registered manager for the relevant clinical services - overseeing and ensuring compliance with all regulated activities working closely with the Group Medical Director and the Head of Clinical governance.
  • You will ensure we meet our contractual responsibilities with safe and effective care/services (with the Group Medical Director).
  • You will lead and guide operational activities to support and strengthen our clinical governance structure which includes the reviews of clinical services and investigation of concerns as appropriate within the governance framework.
  • You will champion best practice, stay ahead of legislation, and drive continuous improvement in the quality of care we deliver working with the Group Medical Director.
Clinical Partnerships interface, supporting clinical – commercial goals:
  • You will collaborate with senior leadership to align clinical excellence with commercial goals, contributing to long-term strategic planning and supporting the delivery of our 5-year growth plan. This includes our drive to grow our clinical services division, with particular focus on in sourcing, community care and emerging clinical service delivery.
  • You will actively support and work with the business development teams to support the safe growth of clinical services which will includes but not limited to visiting prospective clients and supporting bid writing as required.
  • You will explore and network with the different stakeholders and teams across the NHS and wider healthcare providers including independent sector organisations.
Professional Leadership and Operational Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the professional leadership of the Nursing and Allied Health Professions (AHP) across the organisation.
  • You will play a key role in recruitment, retention, development of all non-medical staff including ensuring relevant registration and training are up to date by working closely with the HR team and Quality Assurance team.
