A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician to join the growing, forward‑thinking Pharmacy Aseptic Services Department post holder will assist in supervising, training, compounding and supporting the preparation of cytotoxic products.
- Assist the Senior Technicians in coordinating staffing arrangements for the Aseptic Service and ensuring appropriate skill mix and technical staff allocation throughout the department.
- Follow all departmental operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidance at all times, ensuring the quality of products provided to patients.
- Aseptically prepare products within the aseptic facilities, dispense medications for patients, and maintain high environmental standards and levels of accuracy.
To be eligible you must have:
- Successfully completed an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
- Current registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician or with the Science Council as a Science Manufacturing Technician at the time of appointment.
- Open to all registered Pharmacy Technicians, both newly qualified and experienced, who wish to start a career in hospital pharmacy.
