Responsibilities
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the property
- Looking after basic plumbing, painting, gardening and general building upkeep
- Conducting routine checks to keep the place safe, functional, and presentable
- Logging jobs, prioritising tasks, and keeping the team updated
- Working alongside staff and occasionally supporting young residents with practical guidance
- Making sure health & safety standards are met without turning the place into a hazard sign museum
- Solid experience in a maintenance or trade-based role
- Confidence across a range of basic repairs
- A practical mindset and a knack for problem-solving
- The ability to work on your own initiative (and know when to call in a specialist!)
- A calm, friendly manner - especially when others are stressed
- A full, clean driving licence (ideal but not essential)
