Project Manager – Main Contractor (Traditional Build Residential)

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record delivering high-quality traditional build residential schemes. Our client is looking for a driven, organised and hands-on professional to lead the successful delivery of a new residential development from inception.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for planning, coordinating and managing site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standard. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the internal delivery team, you will be the key figure driving performance and quality across the build.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to programme, design and specification

* Lead and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers

* Oversee health & safety compliance and promote a safe site culture

* Monitor progress, manage risk and implement corrective actions where required

* Maintain exceptional quality control and ensure all works meet traditional build standards

* Handle client and stakeholder communication, reporting regularly on progress

* Manage procurement, variations, cost control and project documentation

About You

* Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor

* Strong background in traditional build residential construction

* Excellent team leadership, communication and organisational skills

* Solid understanding of programme management, cost control and H&S regulations

* Ability to problem-solve under pressure and maintain high standards of workmanship

* CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certifications advantageous
