Communications Manager
Hybrid 2/3 days per week, Milton Keynes Pay: £55,000 Benefits

As part of our dynamic Marketing & Communications team, we're looking for a Communications Manager who can craft and deliver powerful PR strategies and internal communications that strengthen our brand and connect our people to our purpose.
As the Communications Manager
, you'll be shaping how we communicate externally to build brand trust and reputation, and internally to empower colleagues and drive business priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll bring expertise in strategy, content creation, audience engagement, and channel management to deliver meaningful, results-driven communication.
- Create and deliver comprehensive internal and external communication plans aligned with Securitas UK's business priorities and brand objectives.
- Ensure all communications reflect the company's brand and tone of voice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Develop PR plans to secure positive media coverage and enhance brand reputation.
- Maximise editorial opportunities through thought leadership articles, press releases, and feature stories.
- Manage external industry award submissions and related promotional activities.
- Design and deliver strategic internal campaigns on key topics such as business strategy and initiatives, HR initiatives, Health & Safety, CSR, and major business projects.
- Create engaging content for internal platforms (Intranet, Viva Engage, email newsletters and other platforms).
- Support leadership communications, including town halls, manager cascade toolkits, and executive messaging.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on campaigns, events, expos, and customer success stories.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels.
- Press releases, blogs, newsletters, social posts, and leadership updates.
- Proofread and sign off content for accuracy and compliance.
- Intranet - maintain content and ensure relevance.
- Email platforms (Send Grid, Outlook) - manage distribution and engagement.
- Viva Engage - drive employee engagement and interaction.
- Corporate website () - manage content updates and brand alignment.
- HR tools (Employee portal, HAPI benefits app) - ensure accurate and timely updates.
- Track and analyse communication effectiveness using KPIs and engagement metrics.
- Provide regular PR and communication activity reports to the Head of Marketing & Communications.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to improve communication strategies and audience engagement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on communication best practices.
- Manage relationships with external PR and event agencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Commercial, Operations and HR) to align messaging with business priorities.
- Proven experience in PR and Internal Communications (minimum 2 years at Manager level).
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with tools like Cision and intranet/CRM platforms.
- A proactive, confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Event design/management and experience managing external PR or event agencies.
