We are looking for an energetic and people‑focused Team Manager to join Tesco’s Milton Keynes Bletchley Extra store. The role involves recruiting, training and coaching a high‑performing team to deliver an outstanding customer experience, drive sales and manage store operations in line with Tesco’s standards.

Shift Pattern

Varies from day to day but are planned in advance. Typical hours include weekdays 6:00‑17:00, Wednesday 6:00‑17:00, Thursday 6:00‑17:00, Friday 12:00‑22:00 and Saturday 6:00‑17:00. Bank account details must be provided before the agreed start date.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and train the best people for your team, ensuring they have the capability to deliver above and beyond in their role by developing their operational and leadership skills.
  • Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the store’s product range, building brand awareness and providing customers with the right range, quality and service to keep them coming back.
  • Lead your team in the driving of trade activity and use your expertise to grow sales and maximise profit.
  • Build your managers’ knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and resource‑planned activities, ensuring hours are worked where they benefit customers and resolving root‑cause issues with sustainable solutions.
  • Prioritise the safety of your colleagues, coaching the team to use all security tools so the store trading legally and safely.

  • Excellent communicator who shares knowledge, experience and best practices, and collaborates with the team to deliver results.
  • Approachable and customer‑focused, with strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Resilient and energetic, able to keep momentum in challenging environments and make decisions quickly based on customer and colleague needs.
  • Driven to deliver beyond expectation, consistently performing at a high level and inspiring confidence.
  • Knowledgeable of competitors and innovative, always looking for ways to improve the store for customers.
