Sales Development Representative

Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Xero, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads through both outbound and inbound prospecting efforts. Your work will directly generate demand for Xero's platform and solutions by making outbound dials each day to accountants and bookkeepers. Success means achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas, with high productivity and excellent call quality, ultimately translating into new active or potential partners for the sales team.

• Making daily outbound dials to accountants and bookkeepers to generate qualified leads.
• Utilising phone, email, and social media channels for reaching prospects.
• Maintaining accurate records of all prospecting activities and tracking progress in our CRM system (Salesforce).
• Qualifying inbound leads and routing them to the appropriate sales representative.

• You will bring excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with prospects.
• You demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• You are detail‑oriented and possess strong organisational skills to maintain accurate CRM records.
• You will have a desire to learn and grow within the SaaS industry.
• You possess strong analytical skills to assess channel performance and optimise your lead generation approaches.
• You will be able to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software.

This is a hybrid role; 3 days of the week in our Milton Keynes office.
