HGV Vehicle Technician

About the Role

As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you will primarily repair and maintain our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You will work with experienced technicians who will provide the tools and support you need to succeed and progress your career.

• Maintain HGV lorries to a safe and road‑worthy standard in compliance with VOSA and Partnership requirements.
• Complete all inspection, service, and defect sheet sections in accordance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations.
• Handle spare‑parts requests and time‑books daily, ensuring cost‑effective repairs and best practice.
• Apply current commercial vehicle repair techniques and keep up to date with industry best practice.

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road‑worthiness.

• IRTEC qualification.
• LGV C+E driving licence.

Salary up to £44,200 plus overtime when required. As of 5th October 2025 any time worked between 18:00 – 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at £3 per hour for those enrolled into Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Full‑time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, 1 in 2 Saturdays, premium overtime rates.
