Position: Full Time Dual Rate Surveillance Supervisor - MOH
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Surveillance Manager or designate, this position is responsible for daily on-going monitoring and observation of Casino operations, while ensuring the security and integrity of Casino assets, staff and guests. The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities. As a Dual Surveillance Supervisor, you will pay attention to detail and show sound observation skills that are critical when conducting reviews, writing and completing reports and logs that could be used for evidence in legal matters.
The Dual Surveillance Supervisor will ensure adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities:
Supervising, managing and delegating Surveillance Operators daily tasks, duties and maintain awareness of all gaming operations at all timesCommunicates effectively and interacts with internal and external customers while delivering exceptional customer serviceMust be reliable, diligent and maintain a high level of integritySafeguard confidential information and prevents its improper disclosure or useInvestigate, report and document all irregular, unusual, suspicious, or illegal activitiesMaintains and verifies logs, enter information into trackers and timesheets, prepares and verifies departmental reportsMonitors, documents and reports violations, unauthorized access, large cash/cash equivalent transactions, trespassed and self-excluded guests (not limited to)Stores records securely for evidence purposesMonitors and reports on the conditions of Surveillance facilities and equipment; performs preventative maintenance on equipment as requiredProvides training and coaching to all new team membersAssist the management team with projects as neededEnsures health and safety directives are followed and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as directed by Surveillance Manager or designateEnsures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations and applicable laws, policies and procedures.Knowledge of Table Games a requirementAbility to work all shifts (This includes evenings, weekends and holidays)Knowledge of gaming industry considered an assetEducational and Functional Requirements:
Secondary School diploma, with preference to graduates with a post-secondary education in Law and Security or CriminologyA minimum of 1 (one) or more years of Surveillance / Security related fields or gaming related positions, with preference to Supervisory experience of 1 (one) or more yearsStrong leadership, analytical, observational, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsProactive and solution-oriented skills with strong problem-solving, and conflict resolutions skillsKnowledge of computer applications – MS Word, Excel, Access, Power PointAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationThe ability to obtain registration as a category 1 Gaming Assistant (license) with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of OntarioWork Environment Considerations:
