Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga . We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. This position is for a newly created position.
Major Responsibilities:
Develops and implements the program’s estimate breakdown structure, establishing appropriate measurement methods.
Reviews and evaluates contractor cost estimates, including those for Target Price submissions and Change Requests, providing constructive feedback.
Advises Program Leads, Program Controls, and Commercial Leads on cost estimating best practices and methodologies.
Conducts bottom-up estimates as needed to validate contractor estimates as part of the assurance process.
Maintains a comprehensive database of rates and benchmark data for the program.
Works closely with PMO Services to report and integrate estimating data, supporting program-wide estimating initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Possession of a recognized designation, such as Cost Control Professional (CCP), Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS), Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), or equivalent, is an asset.
10 years of experience in quantity surveying/estimating for large infrastructure programs.
Experience with aviation programs is considered an asset.
Proficient in MS Office and other cost management software tools and applications for documenting and illustrating cost performance.
Experience in cost reporting and integrating cost information across the program to produce consolidated, program-level cost estimates.
Broad understanding of program controls and the interconnected relationship between cost, schedule, risk, and scope.
Additional Information
This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $71045.43 to $121045.43.
