Your Opportunity
Stantec's GTA based team is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Professional
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects as a PM for Environmental Assessments and Detailed Design Projects. Managing the approved scope, budget and schedule are of utmost importance.
Lead the Design Team consisting of the Engineers, Scientists, Planners, Coordinators, Schedulers, and other consultants.
Create innovative ideas and approaches to re-evaluate and improve our business.
Promoting and overseeing our safety program and overall safety culture.
Day-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.
Develop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the project.
Review and track all contracts, invoices, and payments to all contractors, consultants, and equipment vendors.
Leadership and oversite of our safety program, quality reviews, plan reviews and inspections.
Understand and assist in the negotiation of contracts of all parties to the project.
Oversee approval of all invoices and change orders associated with the project.
Evaluate, advise on and assist in resolving disputes and claims.
Regular collaboration with colleagues in our multi-disciplined design office
Financial management of projects and resource allocation
Business development support and leading proposal development.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Project Management Professional Designation PMP is an asset.
Excellent communication and Leadership skills (verbal and written) as well as good relationship building skills with respect to your interactions with team members, clients, and contractors
Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines while work independently
A strong work ethic with the desire to excel, inspire and to achieve
Willingness to learn and a motivated team player
Education and Experience
Ideally 15+ years of experience in Transportation Engineering, Environmental Assessment Process and Approvals, Conceptual Design. Engineering, Technical Advisory Related Work or Construction Management.
Civil Engineering Technology diploma or university degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or approved equivalent combination
Registered Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario PEO or with The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians.
