As our next Blending Engineering Specialist
, you’ll be responsible for advanced analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement of powder blending processes. You will support production and engineering teams by applying quality engineering principles to ensure consistent powder performance and process reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for powder quality and blending OEE
• Drive Design for Quality and Risk Mitigation for blending processes
• Apply JE Product Development System principles and lead PFMEA activities
• Implement advanced quality systems and analytics, including real-time monitoring and predictive analytics
• Design and execute capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
• Monitor blending process signals and quality metrics for continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain SPC systems for blending process drivers
• Oversee and optimize powder blending operations for compliance and consistency
• Collaborate with Powder Technicians and Blenders to ensure accurate execution of procedures
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Support development and validation of new powder blends and recipes
• Ensure compliance with QMS and EHS standards (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001)
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and support audits
• Develop specifications for equipment and materials for blending infrastructure upgrades
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in powder metallurgy or related manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry, material properties, powder blending, and processing
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and SPC methodologies
• Experience with signal monitoring systems and data acquisition tools is an asset
• PMT Level 2 certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
