OverviewAs a Site Security Lead, you will be part of a dedicated team based at the head office in Mississauga, Canada, and reporting to the Regional Security Director. This position is responsible for all physical security responsibilities for the Mississauga Distribution Center, including providing security, safety, executive operations, investigative oversight and guidance to Stanley Black & Decker (SBD) business units. You will work with various business units, asset protection professionals, local law enforcement and outside consultants, where required.
What You Will Get To Do
Responsibilities- Security & Safety Services at the Millcreek facility.
- Manage Proprietary and/or 3rd party vendor security services.
- Direct visitors and control access at all security posts.
- Monitor CCTV, security and fire suppression systems.
- Patrol and secure areas inside and outside the facility.
- Implement physical security improvements.
- Document security and safety related incidents.
- Serve as First Responder to a crisis situation and administer First Aid, CPR, AED, etc., as required.
- Liaise with local, provincial and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Train and develop the security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in operational effectiveness.
- Prepare and manage budgets for security operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and company security policies.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High School Degree required; post-secondary education preferred.
- 4+ years’ experience in related security, law enforcement, or military.
- A valid Ontario Security Guard License would be considered an asset.
- Proven leadership experience in law enforcement and/or corporate security is highly desirable.
- Discretion and professionalism, especially when dealing with senior executives and sensitive information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent physical fitness and/or other defensive skills are desirable.
- CPR / AED / First Aid Training required.
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and collaborative skills; ability to work with senior management to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Some travel, non-business hours and potential weekend work may be required.
