Position: Full Time Scooper Detail
Site: Toronto Pearson Airport
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Continental Afternoons (1400 - 0200)
Payrate: $20.41 / an hour
Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period of time in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold, etc.)Enforce airport regulations with respect to scooper activity utilizing operational techniques for interdiction & interception.Avoid direct contact with Scooper and don’t engage in confrontationInform passenger and advise where GTAA authorized Taxi or Limo stands are located on the curbRaise awareness and educate passengers of offered Ground Transportation Services – “Choose the right ride.”Predominately the focus is to capture the interior of the terminals, specifically within the International and Domestic gates. Guard may venture towards the Inner Curb (GTO) but must refrain from going to the outer curb unless directedEnforce the "Traffic on Land Side of Airports Regulations", as may be amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time (collectively the 'TLSARs")Issue Parking Infraction Notices (PINs) in accordance with established training procedures and attend court for the purpose of giving evidence on PINs issued by the guardAnticipate and address areas of vehicular/pedestrian congestions and ensure vehicles/pedestrians move in a safe and secure mannerDetect and notify SOCC of a person(s) demonstrating suspicious behaviorProvide a high level of customer service and collaborate with other stakeholders when requiredRecords and submits number of interdictions and interceptions on a daily basisMaintain communications at all times with fellow Security guard, Cliental and Paladin Managerial StaffRespond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established proceduresPerform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the clientBe observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/ concerns noted during patrols and take corrective actionBe courteous, and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulationsPerform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal lawsRepresent Paladin Security, GTAA, and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation of Toronto Pearson International AirportPrerequisites:
Valid Ontario Security LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)English (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding trainingPlease be aware:
The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityWhy choose Paladin?
