Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and organized Shipper/Receiver to manage the daily flow of goods in and out of our client’s facility. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth logistics and timely order fulfillment within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments: unload trucks, verify goods against packing slips, inspect for damages
- Prepare outgoing shipments: pick, pack, label, and load orders according to schedules
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records using inventory management systems
- Coordinate with carriers and couriers to schedule pickups and resolve delivery issues
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely (if certified)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company policies
- Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle checks
- Communicate effectively with the warehouse team, supervisors, and other departments
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Basic computer skills; experience with WMS or ERP systems is an asset
- Familiarity with shipping procedures, documentation, and courier coordination
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid forklift license and experience operating warehouse equipment
- Experience using handheld RF scanners or barcode systems
- Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting
