Advanced LPN Clinic Float
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. As an Advanced LPN Clinic Float, you will support physicians and mid-level providers by delivering assessments, treatments, testing, and patient education with professionalism and attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments.
Support examinations within the scope of your license and perform phone triage.
Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and answering patient inquiries.
Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs including height and weight.
Manage and update patient medication lists and summaries.
Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
Educate patients and guardians about electronic health record access and benefits.
Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, securing necessary authorizations.
Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.
Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability while maintaining focus under pressure.
EducationGraduated from an accredited LPN program and completed an approved IV therapy course.
ExperiencePrevious nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Certifications and LicensesCurrent LPN license valid in the regional state and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
Physical and Mental RequirementsRequires considerable mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 lbs., and perform activities such as standing, walking, turning, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.
Working ConditionsFrequent exposure to infectious diseases and occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
